The Room
The salon is a single-table room, deliberately small to keep the game personal. Dark timber panelling, low brass lighting, and a custom green baize table set the tone. No more than eight seats at the table, with space for a dedicated dealer. Soundproofed and set apart from the dining room for complete privacy.
The lighting is designed for long sessions: warm, low, and focused on the table. A single low pendant over the table, with amber wall sconces. No overhead glare; cards and chips are easy to read without harshness. The room feels like a private club, not a casino floor.
The table is built for serious play, with a custom felt and recessed cup holders. Green baize surface with a padded rail for comfort. Professional-grade cards and clay composite chips. The table is inspected and reset before every session.
Games and Formats
The house game is No-Limit Texas Hold'em, played at a considered pace. Blinds and buy-ins are agreed in advance with the host. A dedicated dealer manages the action and keeps the game moving. No time-pressure; the table plays at a social but serious tempo.
For players who prefer four cards, Pot-Limit Omaha is available on request. Same private table, same dealer, same standard of service. Often chosen for mixed-game evenings. Minimum buy-in applies.
The lounge runs private cash games with agreed stakes and no house rake. Stakes are set by the host and players before the session. A flat session fee covers the room, dealer, and service. No house participation in the game.
Occasional private tournament nights are held for invited guests. Structured blind levels and a fixed buy-in. Limited to one table, so seats are allocated by invitation. Prizes are agreed in advance and paid from the prize pool.
Service and Amenities
Every session includes a professional dealer who manages the game and the table. Trained in house rules and etiquette. Handles shuffling, dealing, and pot management. Available for the entire session without interruption.
The restaurant's kitchen and bar service extend into the lounge. A curated menu of small plates and canapés is available. Craft spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options are served at the table. Orders are taken discreetly so the game is not disturbed.
The lounge operates with a strict privacy policy for all guests. No photography inside the salon. Guest names and session details are never shared. The room is accessible only to reserved players and staff.
House Standards
Smart casual is the minimum; jackets are encouraged but not required. No sportswear, singlets, or thongs. The restaurant's dress code applies throughout the venue. The host may decline entry if the code is not met.
The lounge expects respectful, professional conduct at the table. No abusive language or behaviour. Players are expected to know basic poker etiquette. The dealer's rulings are final.
All players must be 18 or older and present valid ID on entry. Australian driver's licence, passport, or proof-of-age card. ID is checked at the door and again at the table. No exceptions are made.
Sessions are booked in advance and run for a set duration. Standard sessions are four hours, starting at 8pm or 10pm. Extended sessions can be arranged with the host. Late arrivals may forfeit their seat.
